1. Data We Collect

Personal Data

• Sender name and recipient name
• Special dates (optional) and occasion type

Content

• Photos (up to 10 per memory, stored in cloud storage service)
• Text messages (up to 500 characters)
• Special moments texts (4 entries of up to 300 characters each)

Music

• URL and title of YouTube videos selected by the user

Email

• Email optionally collected during payment for QR Code delivery
• Waitlist email (when applicable)

Payment

• Payment amount and status
• Credit card data is processed entirely by Stripe and is not stored by us

Usage Data

• View count per memory
• Edit count
• Anonymous page visit analytics via Vercel Analytics

2. Cookies

We only use essential cookies. An edit token is stored as an HTTP-only cookie (UUID format, 1-year expiration) to allow edit access to memories. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Display and deliver created memory pages
• Process payments securely
• Send QR Codes via email when requested
• Improve the service through anonymous analytics

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third-party services, necessary for the platform to function:

• Vercel — hosting, file storage, and analytics
• Resend — email delivery (QR Codes)
• YouTube Data API — music search
• Stripe — payment processing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Public Access

Memory pages are publicly accessible through their unique URL. Anyone with the link can view the memory content. There is no password protection. Consider this before including sensitive information.

6. Data Retention

• Basic plan memories: retained for 1 year
• Premium plan memories: retained permanently
• Photos: stored while the memory is active
• Emails: stored as long as necessary for the service

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.

There is currently no automated deletion mechanism. We are working on implementing this feature.

8. Children

EverMemo is not directed at children under 13. We do not intentionally collect data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
